Powderham Presents: Duran Duran & Basement Jaxx

At Powderham Presents 2025, Metpow was deployed to monitor real-time energy usage across the site vendor stalls over a three-day period. Despite a wide range of usage—from 2kWh to over 150kWh—our system provided full visibility, enabling the events team to identify heavy energy users, prevent freeloading, and capture accurate cost and carbon data. The event saw a total of thousands of kWh consumed, with a +300% difference between vendor types. Precisely tracked through dual Metpow monitors.

Using Metpow, organisers calculated the difference between diesel and grid-based power, highlighting the opportunity to reduce costs by up to 80% and cut emissions by over 60%. The system empowered staff to right-size generator setups, implement fair-use policies, and introduce penalties for vendors exceeding declared loads. The event proved Metpow’s ability to deliver operational control, fair billing, and sustainability insights. Aall without the need for permanent infrastructure.
